hi i brought a trek 1.7 on cycle to work scheme and will only cost me about £500 so really happy anyway because of the weather it has been mainly used on the rollers will get out more when weather picks up but have a commuter for that.
so to the point origanal plan was to time trail and race but looks as though i will be heading more into mtb (sorry) but may still have a go towards end of year anyway been reading up on bike and only downfalls i can see are saddle and wheels (saddle taken care of spec toupe gel which im not sure on yet!!)
so to wheels do i need to upgrade them or wait till they break a spoke wear out etc? wouldnt want to spend a fortune but can you reccommend a set if needed?
thanks in advance

Until you are sure which, I would stick with what you have (presumably Bontrangers). These are not too bad - certainly good enough for a first crack at either racing or TT. The best choice of TT wheels may not be the best choice for racing (ie weight v aero). If you havent competed in either before then better wheels are unlikely to make much difference.0
