first bike not sure what type/style

I am wanting to get into biking but not sure which direction my riding will go, so my problem is the right type/style of bike.
I have been offered a Kona Scrap i think 2004 bike for £165, which i am assuming is cheap (correct me if i am wrong)
I am just wondering if I will be able to do a little bit of everything on this bike XC, DH streey etc.

I would say go for it as its a good price so if you do decide its not for you ebay is waiting.
It will be good for genral play riding, so bombing round the woods jumping and the like
I will be hard work on Xc and out of its depth on full on downhill stuff but unless you live in the alps it should be fine.0
