I can't wait to ride around aimlessly after work or stop off in a pub and when I do get home its still not too dark or cold.

I can't wait until its light enough that all the other cyclists are back on the road - safety in numbers and all that.

Argh, one thing I'm not looking forward to is the return of the "Fair Weather Cyclist tm"

That's because you cycle too fast and end up having to stay further out into the ride as you ride past everyone....

It'll be interesting how I feel about FWC this year as I'll be faster, more seasoned and experienced as a commuter (on a road bike proper).

Didn't think of it that way.

Another thing I'll be looking forward to, forcing my absolute power onto reassuringly dry roads.

It might be a while before I see dry or even wet roads again - we've had more snow today and no doubt more tonight.

Snowing in Marlborough? Still raining here in Bucks but the temp is dropping. I guess the snow's coming, drat and double drat. Still I did manage 65 miles on the fixie on saturday so all is not lost :D

I got out in the car this afternoon after spinning around the close for a few minutes and not getting over 30mph even on the main roads, I made it all the way to Hungerford and it seems we're suffering a lot worse than the surrounding area, i'd say it still not safe enough to ride on yet

I'm seriously considering taking the bike and driving somewhere snow free, I can't do a second week off the bike.

I was very glad of the cyclocross tyres on my fixie on Saturday even if they do drag on the roads a bit. The snow does seem very localised. I rode out from Nottingham with barely any snow but 20 miles away at Belvoir (pronounced Beaver! go figure, take a beautiful sounding french word and bugger it up) there was 4-5 inches and some great looking sledging hills.
