Not sure if this has ever been posted on here. just came across it while trying to find out what the little adjuster screw on the top of calipers was for. It's a load of PDF's that show exploded views of what seems to be every Shimano component. Thought someone might find it useful. It's in German but it doesn't really matter

    wow great find!

That little screw is to adjust the brake from left to right (eg. bring it closer to one side of rim/ further from other), - if were talking about the same one..
  • They're all on the Shimano website http://techdocs.shimano.com/techdocs/index.jsp

it still has the advantage of all the documents in one place, also the Shimano site is often very slow to load the pdf's, so well done Dude.
  • Cheers, really useful post.

  • I have the Shimano Alivio Brake / Shifter all in one setup

the shifter mechanism was taken apart in hopes to repair a shifting problem and well to be honest there are just TOO many parts in there to be sure i got it back to together properly.

I have looked at all the exploded diagrams specific to my setup

    ST-MC10

but cannot find any diagrams that show the innards of the shifter assembly ... does anybody have any details or diagrams that can assist in getting this back together for me!?

    thank you for any help
