Not sure if anyone is from Bristol in this section, but I went to last nights wilderness lecture (great wednesday night winter enetertainment) by Rob Lilwell who 'cycled home from siberia' 30k miles in 3 years, you guys have probably heard of him before, I had seen his website some time ago. Anyhow if anyone gets the opportunity to see one of his talks I would highly recommend it, very entertaining loads of great photo's and videos, and all done on a shoestring budget, on just an old specialzed steel MTB with panniers on,so you really get into the adventure of it all. last nights was 1hr30 long and it flew by, I imagine that getting 3 years worth of stories into 90 mins is pretty challenging but it worked well, could have sat there and listed to the stories all night
Anyhow as always with these things it now means that I want to go on a big adventure sometime more than ever :)..........one day...just maybe miss out the -40c Siberia bit

Is he the "Rob" from Alastair Humphreys' books?
I'm in the middle of reading the 2nd one, and he's just joined up with Rob in Magadan.
Thoroughly recommended.http://www.KOWONO.com - Design-Led home furniture and accessories.0 -

Make sure you get both books, so you can go from the first straight into the second!http://www.KOWONO.com - Design-Led home furniture and accessories.0
