Hi - I'm aware that 700c wheels, tyres and inner tubes are not common outside of Western Europe and North America, but are they available reasonably easily in New Zealand and Australia? I'm in the early stages of planning a tour to the former and possibly also the latter and would like to know my options - would prefer to tour with a 700c wheeled bike if possible... Thanks!

700c tyres are common in NZ, getting hold of tubes/tyres and even wheels would be easy in any town with a bike shop.

Yes, no problem with 700C here at all.

I guess apart from the 700c size it will be the tire widths that are of interest. You can certainly get 700C x 32 and suitable tubes in NZ, I have never looked for anything wider however.
  • Found no problem in Oz. In fact, the hardware shop at Norseman carries a vast array of spokes as well!
