I noticed a couple of these style posts and find them interesting so i'm guna try :D
these are my questions(and my answers :oops: )


1. Do you smoke/drink?

about 10 roll-ups a day max / over government guidelines(well over)

2. How far in an average week do you cycle?(inc turbo/rollers(no non cycling included))

100 mile commute p/w, odd 60 mile-ish w/end max(soemtime none), (but this w/end 70, hopefuly)

3. What is your personal best(i know this is a varied option so just put what you know is your best performance, ie 10 ml tt, 25 ml tt, any cat r/r, commute, or whatever)

29 mins norton to bath ( 10 miles)

4.how long have you been riding with enthusiasm?

4 mnths (since finally getting my shiny nice bike)

5. Are you part of a club?

No, can't get hold of the buggers!


6. What do you weigh? (optional, lol as all of them are)

10 stone

    150-220 miles(weather dependant)

    2. How far in an average week do you cycle? - these days about 6-8hrs, usually in 2hr sessions. Pointless counting the miles around here, cos it's too hilly..

    3. What is your personal best - 7th, Luton Arrow r/r, about 1995. well you did ask ;)

    4.how long have you been riding with enthusiasm? - on & off since 1989

    5. Are you part of a club? - yes

    6. What do you weigh? 12.5st (used to be 10.5st when racing, but that was 10 years ago)

    7. Do you enter races/sportives/audaxes, anything involving other cyclists? - no more racing, but a few sportives - yes
  • Seeing as I'm new to this thought I might as well join in - it would be interesting to see who else is out there too...

    1. Do you smoke/drink? - no to smoking. Think my username is a hint on the drinking.

    2. How far in an average week do you cycle? - ummm, probably about 80 miles average. 40 miles commuting (10 mile round trip, Friday is for drinking) and 40 miles at the w/e (good to clear the hangover)

    3. What is your personal best - getting out of bed and cycling

    4.how long have you been riding with enthusiasm? - 6 months with full on enthusiasm (was a bit of a gap between childhood entusiasm and current enthusiasm of ambient enthusiasm)

    5. Are you part of a club? - no

    6. What do you weigh? ~10st, but I'm short...

    7. Do you enter races/sportives/audaxes, anything involving other cyclists? - not yet.

    Teetotal non-smoker.

    When I bother to do it every day, around 250km a week commuting, plus 150-250km at the weekends.

    32km in under an hour

    5 years, on and off

    Not yet...

    182cm, 68kg

    102 mile Cheshire Cat will be my first road even, done a couple of mountain bike races.

    I don't smoke. I don't drink much: <10 units/week.

    On account of long working hours and the need to commute by train, not far enough - probably 50-60 miles

    commute 12miles/week other riding about 130miles.

    a long 23 for a 10mile TT/ Winning a football cup final and the man of the match aswell / A blackbelt in Tae-kwon-do / pulling my future Mrs 29 years ago / Two belting youngsters who make me very proud..

    About 12 years.

    20 mile commute a week, 30 mile ride on saturday, 50-60 mile ride on sunday, 2 turbo sessions through the week

    riding for 2 years, serious from before christmas

    yes. preston park in brighton

    48kg-only 5"2 so not super skinny

    7. Do you enter races/sportives/audaxes, anything involving other cyclists?
    preston park track league, a lot of circuit races. first 100+k audax next week

    noticed massive improvments now i train/ride 4 times a week.
    but just enjoying it soo much.

    er no... ;)

    it was just a club event like most of the others we did - about 50 or 60 miles I think. Myself and a few others opened up a bit of a gap at the top of the last climb on the last lap, so I thought I would have a dig - didn't quite get the win I was going for though...

    cockyness - I don't understand..? I was trying to convey a sense of irony - 7th was my best placing ever - not exactly gold medal material...

    Damn right I felt smug - I worked hard for that 7th place. I was chuffed to bits at the time, and it was (is) my best performance - which is exactly what the question was asking.

  • OI, stop ruining the thread, very respectable from all so far, notice i'm the slowest so far :oops: , it aint about that it's about curiosity to the level of other cycle lovers out there
