Anyone heard about or tried clothing made from bamboo? Found http://www.bambooclothing.co.uk/store/show_product/MS202-BLK%20this%20baselayer

    does the trick for me - even wear it off the bike in this weather.

    funnily enough there was a bloke talking about these on Radio2 tonight. I didn't catch the whole discussion but from what I caught, he was saying that they wick sweat away from the body 3 times more efficiently than cotton but if used in winter the thermal properties are likewise, several times more effective than cotton. He also specifically referred to their use during cycling.

    I'm after a couple of new baselayers and would also be interested to hear if anyone can confirm this

    These have been around a while now. I suggest you go to TK Maxx. They all sell bamboo base layers(tops and pants) at cheap prices.

    Some people love them, but this may be down to their alleged ethical benefits. They are much better than cotton as baselayers, but then again, just about anything is.
