doing the 1066 next week, (first 100k+ ride)

    yes; from home to make it a 200. You've chosen a very good event for your first 100; El Supremo's routes and catering are legendary :D

    Take it very easy on the lanes first thing though, it's going to be a hard frost and a rider fell and broke his leg on a very similar event down there in December

    cheers for the tip, main goal is to have enough energy left to be capable of taking of my kit and getting an the shower

    really nice ride and a good challenge for me, like you said, el supremo's catering was great!!!

    I was the rider in the yellow bike / helmet and AUK Technicolor Dreamcoat; which were you?

    glad you enjoyed it; Mad Jack Fuller next? same sort of area but 3 or 4 much steeper hills; also El Supremo catering.
