    Ah thanks guys. The swelling has mostly gone done and I'm seeing the dentist again to have more work done - abscess, filling, possible tooth removal.

    A friend of mine had basically DDD's thing but with his eye :shock: Hope you feel fully recovered soon DDD!

    Update, finally went to a decent dentist, his facial expression when seeing my abscess under X-ray was literally this - :shock:

    His only words were "wow!" Secretly worried I was consciously happy because I've been having trouble with work over this issue and my 2 week absence. His professional opinion coupled with my doctors is like holding 2 middle fingers up at my managers face.

    More importantly, if I don't see a specialist this could happen all over again OR next time if the abscess causes an infection again it could get into my eye (my eye was nearly swollen shut last week) or cause septicemia (as a worse case scenario).

    Strangely I just want to ride my bike....
