Any info an the trails at delamere.
Are there official graded routes, or just bridleways?
Going next week, info would be useful

Thanks in advance

IIRC there's only a blue waymarked, there is a skills area with a few jumps etc.

To be honest for the best riding you need to know where your going, much is off piste so you'll need your exploring head on.

The best riding is off the beaten track - be warned though, it is extremely muddy over there at present... crud-catcher required!
  • Great - i like muddy - but no in a fetish way though lool :P
  • I thought Delamere was a bit pants when compared other places in the area. Not much climbling, plenty of canines and mostly fire roads - To get more out of it you must go off the waymarked trials and the centre does say that you can do this - they dont have a problem with that.

The marked trails are for family and kids and shared by walkers as they are all fireroads. Unless you are with someone that knows there way around off the beaten track its not very good. Also its used by lots of bmx kids and as a toilet for dogs.

You defo need local knowledge in Delamere and the surrounding area.

There's plenty of single track, short sharp climbs, longish ones, jumps, bomb holes, descents, roots, log crossings, skinnnies, streams etc etc etc

Just get out there early on a Saturday or Midweek during the day and go explore, if it looks like a gap in the trees go for it and see what you find
  • Sounds good - lets hope theres no snow and it doesnt go sour!

That would be good, snow, a bit of slipping and sliding - Sidney Beche - good times :D
