Gore ride on versus Shimano XTR gear cables

A while ago I changed my cables...I was advised that a big roll of outer from Parker International is the same as XT...but it's not. It's a bigger diameter, does not sit in the hose guides properly, and the ends are no good in dirt, and the ends off the old cables won't fit.

So it's time to splash out on some proper sealed cables. I helped a mate fit XTRs to his Kona the other week and they seem very good, but I was wondering if the Gore sealed Ride-Ons are worth the extra. A lot of the riding I do does tend to be very muddy.

Or do I just go for Transfil Mud Lovers?

Any expriences?

Thanks!
