i just picked up a set of planet x model b's from ebay unused with unsed tires and tubes for £140 and they are pretty good. they match up to most £250 wheels but are only £150 from the website, much better then my old bontrager race wheels and fulcrum racing 7's

There are some good wheels on ebay if your carefull, make sure you pick them up in person unless the seller has great feedback!0

I got the Planet-X model B's on my Planet-X (surprisingly!). They are very light (2nd lightest of all in C+ test in January), got a and the hubs are the smoothest spinning I have ever encountered. The build seems good and they have stayed 100% true for the 1000 miles I have done on them. They are impossible to beat at the price. Only downside (if it is one) is that they are completely devoid of flashy graphics or branding.0

the lack of graphics is great, i think they look awesome. and if you do need wheel graphics you can them from ebay.
I was tempted until i put the wheels on my bike and saw how cool they looked0 -

American Classic CR420s - light enough and with a moderately deep enough rim that they make a discerable difference in comparison to a shallow rim. Not the stiffest, so leave them alone if you're over 75kg or so. Alternatively, you might pick up a pair of secondhand Planet-Xs for £250 plus - caveat emptor for used carbon wheels though.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
