Just wondering gear wise which forks here are the better quality and good for hardtail cross country use.

RockShox Tora 302 SL, 100mm, 32mm Cr-Mo stanchions and alloy steerer, Mag lower, coil spring, preload adj., LO w/ reb.

Rockshox Tora 318 coil forks.

318 is higher up the RockShox range than the 302.

Yep, 318 are lighter and better damped. Though are a couple of versions ie air, u turn.
