got me a remedy 7 last week, 09 model, and the bushings feel a bit slack, fore and aft movement between stanchion and sliders, of the lyrik fork. only done 4 xc rides mainly on fire road due to injury, anyone else had any probs with these forks? :?:

  • There generally pretty bomb proof. Are you positive its not just a small amount of up and down free play? Hold the lowers and feel for a knock. If you are still worried take it back to the shop you got it from and let them have a look for you.
  • i got in chester, i live in darlington! would a local trek dealer take it on?
  • Yes any trek dealer should be able to help. But be nice to them as they don't have to and they will just help out of good will and if they do have to send back you will have to pay ofr the post.. Also any RockShox dealer should also be able to have a look for you.

As a last resort Fisher Outdoor should also be able to sort them for you.

You sure it's no the headset bedding in? Give the top screw a 1/4 turn and see if that helps.

I got caught out with my Pikes when they were new thinking that I had a knocking - as it was I had the negative spring set too hard which was making the fork top out. But they are Air U-turns where yours aren't. So it's kind of irrelevant. I'll get my coat...
