I've just purchased the new orange crush 09 model ......
and I am looking to upgrade the pedals. I'm looking for a flat pedal around £30-£40. I have a pair of DMR V8's kickin aroung the house somewhere, think i should just stick them on,?or should i look for something new?
Cheers, David

Other than that
WELLGO MG'1's
I need to say it again
WELLGO MG'1's
They are lighter and cheaper than DMR and had them over a year now and they are great0 -
Yep, I fitted my old V8s to my commuter bike after trying the MG1s, they're as good or better in every way, and lighter, and cheaper. Win!Uncompromising extremist0

I replaced my V8's with these and they are much better.

Get them while they're cheap!0 -
Mg1 are the best pedal on the market for weight/strength for the money.0

What are the MG1s like for maintenance just out of interest? Easy to grease up? Quite tempted to stick some flats on my Meta next year and get out of my reliance on clips a bit :?0

Sealed carts and a bushing, not much to do! Very well sealed. Cart bearings on pedals I think is a good idea as loose balls tend to be nasty and cheap, badly sealed. Except Shimano and hubs ;-)0

Another vote for the Wellgo MG1s here!Boardman Road Comp '08

+1 MG1s!!
Bought the Ti version for my Stumpy. Amazingly light, and yet still a great, grippy platform.
Performance is on a par with the V12's. However, given how much cheaper the MG1's are, it's a no-brainer!!
e.g. you can get the MG1 Ti for around £55 off ebay. The Ti shaft (on it's own) for the V12's is more than that!!
And guess who makes the V12's on behalf of DMR?!Stumpy, Rockhopper (stolen!) & custom SX Trail II - that should do it!0 -
definatley keep the v8's i'm runnin them on my rig. they look good and stick to your feet like super glue.0

MG1,S ARE THE FUTURE Well light my v8s were at least twice as heavy0

Another MG-1 vote here. And I run them on an '08 Crush, so they should really be the ones for your '09.
Get some pics up of it too0 -
got my MG1's last week - excellent upgrade, miles better than my original pedals (Tioga Surefoot 31), and more surefooted than them too.
Larger foot area, excellent grip, look good (black ones), and light too.
Can't fault them - cost me £28.20 from ebay - hongkong - took 7 days to arrive - inc weekend
