Hi , this is my first post on this forum and im looking for some advice ! as the title says probably 15 years ago i was a really keen fit mountain biker but as my kids and mates gave up and stuff i kind of fizzled out too  however i have just bought another bike and want to get back into it , the big problem is i am roaring towards my 50 th birthday and my weight has roared up also and i cant seem to find any cycling specific clothing with enough xxxs in front of them do i just suffer till i lose some weight or is there anywhere that caters for oversize cyclists ? .cheers paul.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum, can't help you with the clothes but I can say it doesn't really matter what you wear does it?
If you spend a packet now they'll all be too big in three months. Pair of owld shorts, some warm sweatshirts and the jobs a good un, enjoy!!Be happy, communicate happiness.0 -
Hi , thanks for your reply , i dont warrant nor can i afford a cycling specific wardrobe , my days of team specialized lycra and base layers etc etc are long gone but the extra comfort of proper cycling shorts is sorely missed cheers ,paul0

Any decent wicking layer will help, try a football top, they're usually made from breathable material.
There's nothing worse than a cold, sweaty cotton t-shirt.0 -
Try these for shorts:

Jerseys:

The DHB base layers are also fairly big. For other tops try millets they often have bigger stuff.0 -
