About to buy a fsa k-force light megaexo Crankset for my Trek as i'm swaping my xt kit to a build in progress BUT having never used FSA cranks on a mtb (got some on my roadie that i like) I was hoping someone could just confirm that they are a straight swap for my XT cranks and BB and that FSA dont have some weird thread or sized BB that will scuper my plans ?
Cheers

well which cranks. (link) on to what frame (link or make model year)
If you get the right ones then yes they will fit, if it is a euro/mtb bb then the treads are the same but there are different widths of shell and not all widths are covered by the cranks/bb."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The FSA shoudl be a straightforward swap, compatible with 68 and 73mm BB shells. Thsi is done in the same way as Shimano, using up to three spacers.0

Going on my 08 trek EX9.00 -
should be fine. If your old bearings/bb was not external type then the frame will need facing.
if the XT were external bearings then a straight swap."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
