Best time for a bargain

Am looking for a new bike for commuting to work and wondered when the best time too pick up a bargain is.

    Personally, I think now.

    There are sales on with stores trying to clear out 2008 stock. There seems to have been a trend to downgrade the spec on bikes from 2008-09, or raise the prices, so an 08 model is better value anyway. Coupled with extra discounts, I'd say there's no better time.

    I'm not a shopkeeper, btw.

    Now! Not 7 days ago when I ordered my Giant SCR1.5 2008 from Wiggle there were 10 in stock, now there is 1!!
