BeOne any good?

Am looking to spend about £300 ish on a sale bike hoping to get some decent spec at that price. I'm a beginner so don't want to spend a fortune at this stage.
I've noticed some BeOnes on CRC website. I tried ringing them several times this afternoon for advise but just got a recorded message!
Can anyone help?
I really fancy this one - Aspire 1.0 - it seems a good price for a bike with RockShox though it has V brakes not disc brakes - I thought maybe the fork would be more important though? Deore mechs. Good looking bike! £270

Then there's the Kaos 2. Disc brakes and Suntour Duro forks, SRam x 5 mechs. (wierd colour scheme!!) £315

Can anyone tell me which would be the best buy?!
Cheers!

The Kaos 2 looks more street/dirtjump inspired, the Aspire looks more xc orientated. But the Aspire is only 270 for the 15" frame. How short are you?
What sort of riding are you looking at doing?
Have you read the What bike thread?:

I know it's for 2009 bikes, but it's worth a read.
Have a look at GT Avalanche 3.0, Mongoose Tyax Super, Specialized Hardrock, etc. for a comparison.
There's a lad on here who has a BeOne Aspire 2.0 2007, he may be able to shed some light on the BeOne brand. His username is MATTBOT2Boardman Road Comp '08

Thanks for your reply.
I'm short! Just 5 foot! So I need a small frame!! Tis cheaper tho!
I'll be riding trails not dirtjumping.
I've read the What Bike thread but most of those go out of my price range - I'll take a look though to compare specs, good idea! I went along the line of thinking if I could get a bike in the sale, the spec would be better for the money rather than going for a new bike.
Thanks for your advise.0 -
Ah, OK! 15" will be just right for you then! My wife is 5'1", and rides a 15" hardrock.Boardman Road Comp '08

I was in the same situation trying to contact them I had to do a 350 mile round trip and they didnt have my size frame.
The sales number always seems to be engaged or on msg. But here is the shop number 02893345515. Good luck0 -

PM'd you
You cant go wrong with the beone, even guy at bike shop said my mate had a good bike for the price.
You can look around it you have about 300 to spend on some 07 and 08 models and might be able to get disc brakes.
Carrera is a good bike as well.
Keep looking around, deals are everywere at the moment.
