Cycling in Oz

Was wondering if anyone had experience of bike hire and possible rides in and around two areas of Oz.Firstly around the Southport area on the gold coast where we are staying for a week,then somewhere similar in the Sydney area where we will be based for three weeks.Being a family outing we've booked up a people carrier so getting out of the main busy areas should be no bother.Just the tempretures that are looking extra hot at the moment,hopefully cooler by end of February.

    There are a few bike hire places in Sydney, but I think the place in Centennial Park offers the best quality:

    Thanks for taking time to reply,i'll be heading to the Gold Coast on the 18th of February for seven days then on to Sydney for the next three weeks to head home towards the end of March.
    Hopefully the tempretures will be down a bit by then.
