Building up handle bar, brakes and bar tape

So... how'd you go about pitting it all together... mainly how the hoods attach to the handlebars and the tape wraps around them

Don't tape the bars till you're happy with the position of the brake levers. When you do tape the bars start at the ends and work towards the centre of the bars.

I bought the brooks bar tape... don't want to mess that up
