bike weights

hi chaps

does anyone know where i can find accurate bike weights? im trying to find the weight of medium spesh pitch comp, GF hifi plus and dale rize 5 but cant find a thing as manufacturers tend not to supply them now. any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks

    Dunno about the comp but the pitch pro I have seen listed between about 30.6 and 31.5 - guess the comp might be slightly more possibly.

    Manufacturers are very cagey about bike weights as they cannot agree on how to measure them as standard for all bikes and therefore don't want to publish and then make their bike look heavy. Only way to be sure is to take a fishermans scale (or equivalent) to your LBS and check.
    You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
    If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
    If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
  • Many bike shops will also have scales so you if your interested in a bike you can often get them to check it. Its worth a ask at least. You may wish to look at the Trance X as well
