Are there any XC/Freeride riders from the Twyford area in Berkshire?
Solo is fun but would be much better if I could team up with a few others.

Ta muchly in advance

David

whats the xc riding like around you, im from outside of reading and dont mind a drive on the weekend for a good day riding.
  • It's not to bad as I ride around Dinton Pastures country park, I've found another area to ride around it's flat (ish) I've also found a route along the river Loddon all these are very gluppy and heavy going.

What is it like over your way?

I'm from near Twyford and also cycle round Dinton Pastures occasionally. But at the moment just sticking to my local woods as i'm just re-starting out on my bike (even though I cycle to work everyday) so it would be great to team up with a few people.
I'm free Sunday's and some Saturday's depending on weekends.

  • Hi,
There are organised rides through a bike shop - Mountain High, Pangbourne. We ride every Tuesday & Saturday, covering typical distance of around 20 miles. The riding is XC, sometimes a bit more technical.
Get in touch with the shop if you're interested in tagging along. It's free, and is an excellent way to meet like-minded people & find out where all the good bits in the area are!!

I used to live in Wokingham - why not head down to the Look out, or up into the Chilterns, north of Henley..?

I've probably said hello to you guys many a time - might have to stop saying hello and tag along. 8)

  • Hi Vespa,
We're a friendly bunch of people. We DO stop if people have a mechanical/flat/fitness problem. A lot of local groups appear to carry on regardless!!
