XT hubs

Do they come with QRs (like the XTR)?

I am ordering a set of XT on XC717s from merlin.

Need to know if I need additional QRs

When I have bought them years past. all shimano hubs came with skewers

They do come with skewers, I got a set from Merlin in December.

Have sold my XM719s on Pro II. I must admit, the sound of the hubs drove me mad ha ha..

As soon as payment clears, shall be ordering XT 6-bolt hubs on XC717s with black spokage from Merlin.

These are for my Yeti Build, which is nearly done. It's all black and the red hubs (apart from the noise Pro II make) didn't quite fit in, so the XT will look nice.

Means that I also have full (new) XT drivetrain.

Am brakeless though ha ha, shall be selling my gary Fisher Rig 29er shortly so that will pay for them...

She's gonna be a beauty when she's finished!

Can't wait to take her out (the bike that is)

Be aware that you don't get rim tape included in a full wheel build from Merlin, you have to order it in addition to your rims, spokes and hubs.

Also you'll only get skewers if you order Shimano hubs, order anything else and you'll have to get your own.

Cheers Joe, yeah I was aware of that. I have some indoors spare.

I have had two wheel builds from Merlin, the one(s) I have sold and an XTR on 4.2d set (on my race bike). Excellent workmanship.

I think it's great that Shimano hubs come with QRs, some swear they are the best skewers.
