I got in yesterday after a good training ride; I felt great, the bike felt great, the weather was great, everything was great!

However, this morning, I go out and I can't shift down to the bigger cogs on the back, only up to the smaller ones. Now i'm stuck on the hardest gear and I can't shift back! I only have the 2 chainrings as my gear options which was a pain in the arse in this morning's busy traffic!

I thought the cable had gone but I replaced it and the problem still remains!

What's happened? I can't work out why they dont work! I've not done anything to the bike which could change their functionality!

The local bike shop has no time to look at it until tomorrow but I can't wait that long!

What can I do????!!! HELP!!!

By the way, they're standard road-bike shifters but with the smaller thumb-shifters for going to the smaller cogs - can't find a decent picture on the net.

it might be a little bit of cable thats stuck in your shifter(its happened twice to me on sora and 105), could be worth thinking about or taking a bike shop to look out before buying a new set up.

    Thanks.

I took it into the bike shop on Tuesday - they said they had to send it off to Specialized. :|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|

    I don't know why it's been 2 weeks! It's a really simple job!
