    Thanks for that! Have just sent link to my Dad.

    It's a basic one but I use mine mainly for recording trips then uploading them to a piece of software called Memory Map. It's a load of OS maps for the area and I can see EXACTLY where I've been, how long each bit took, and as mine has an altimeter too, I can see gradient of route taken. Useful and interesting to look back at later on!
