Hi,
I have just purchased a pair of Mavic Crossride wheels from a shop in Oxford. As i had been out shopping prior to going there i had no space left in my car for the box that the wheels came in.
Un-known to me i was not given the odds and ends out of the box.......
1, Front and rear skewers
2, Rim tape
3, Valve reducers
4, Instruction booklet & Warranty card
Rim tape is not a problem, Skewers not a problem. However, i am unsure if i need to use the little aluminium spacer ring behind the cassette as i am using a Shimano HG9 cassette. Can any of you guys shed some light on this matter as to whether i need to use or take off the spacer ring. I assumed this would state so in the instruction booklet that i never recieved.
Many Thanks
Matt C

Hi, Ive got 2 pairs and dont use the spacer, Theres no mention of it in the instructions, so I presumed you didnt need it for a 9 speed cassette. TBH your better off without the standard skewers they tend loosen.0

I've got a pair and it was that long ago when I fitted the cassette that I can't be 100% sure, but I think I tried without the spacer first and the cassette was loose so I had to use it in the end!
I'll go and check and let you know!0
