hi guys, first post , hope someone can help
the problem is that i cant get one of by acid 2 crank brother pedals off my old mountain bike which has been sitting in my garage for quite a while gathering dust. every time i try and screw it off the hex key is slipping (im defo turning it the correct direction ) , there does appear to a bit of wear around the pedal connection for the key tho, is there any other ways to get these off ? or any other ideas ?
thanks

Sounds like you ripped the thread mate - you'll need one of those special tool thingy-majigs that is used for ripped threads!0

So you've rounded the hole out in the axle? Your best bet would be to drill it out from the frame side, you might need a reverse bit depending which size it is.0

Don't know these pedals but most pedals have flats on the axle so you can use a pedal spanner to unscrew them from the crank arm. This is a lot easier than using an Allen key as you get more leverage. So do yours have the flats on ?0

na mate unfortunately these pedals can inly be screwed on and off with an allen key
thanks for the replies0 -

If you can't get them off then as a last resort you could file flats on to the pedals so you could spanner them off, don't know if this is possible with your pedals or any easier than drilling out.0
