Halo non-QR wheel skewers - which size?

Looking for some non-QR skewers for my road bike, so I can use it on the commute as well. These "Halo" skewers seem about right (= cheap), but I'm not sure which size I need?
Standard:

"XL" model "Extra long, maximum dropout capacity"
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=26622
The skewers seem to be the same length in both sets but different in "thickness". I don't know what that measures and can't tell from the pictures - rod thickness?
"rod thickness". Ahem. I bet this post will disappoint someone coming from Google.

Actually, they are different lengths. The normal is to fit normal MTB dropouts, the XL is to fit beefy DH frames with 10mm dropouts, or singlespeeds with a chain tug.
As for which you'll need... It could be that neither will fit. As they're designed for MTB rear ends (5mm wider than road bikes) there's a chance that they'll be too long to secure the wheel properly. They are cheap though, and the front one will definitely work...0 -
The blurb on the site says both the normal and XL front skewers are 100mm and the rear 135mm.
But I need a 130mm skewer for the rear of the roadie? OK.
Any recommendations for hex bolt road skewers?Today is a good day to ride0
