top tips needed for 1week in Chamonix please
Hi guys,
me and a mate are starting to look into a week in Chamonix in june or july this summer.
traveling from north east england the route looks like flights to geneva then train connections.
does anybody have any recommendations on:
- travel
- accommodation
- bike-hire 'v' taking our own bikes(preferred option)
- any websites to drop onto for any of the above
- any reasons to drop chamonix for somewhere: better, cheaper, easier to get to etc...
All advice greatly appreciated,
Cheers,
Harland.

I'm going skiing in Chamonix this week.
Try Nick or Jo at www.chamonixallyear.com
I booked my apartment with them, and they've been very helpful. Lots of info on their website.0 -
Oh, but chamonix (France in General) is going to be expensive this year. Another Alpine country (Austria, Italy) may prove cheaper.0

Hi Talk to Ben at www.itsalldownhill.co.uk/ had a great time in Chamonix with them showed us some of the best riding spots and best of all he has a minibus and trailer to take you to some great nearby trails! :P0
