I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for (i.e Dorking) but it'll get you down to Brighton from Reigate with some off-road:

I hope it's of some use.Start Weight: 128 kilos (20.2 st) (April 17th 2009)
Current Weight:119 kilos (18.7 st) (June 18th 2009)
Target Weight: 92 kilos (14.5 st) (sometime mid-2010, hopefully sooner)0 -
Escul I see you posted this question on a few blogs - did you do the route and can you recommend a map, best direction etc?
Planing on doing the trip mid-April and lookibng for mostly off-road.

Anybody got a link to the route described in MBR (Dorking to Brighton night ride)? Hoping to do the ride early May but as yet only a little idea of the route they took.Living in Essex not of Essex - the land of flat mountains0

I did this a few weeks ago, best i could tell from the MBR article:

once you hit the south downs you can choose to keep going straight down to Shoreham then along the coast, but i recommend going up onto the south downs as its a bit more scenic. It's the vibe of the thing.0 -
