Any local rides in nottinghamshire?

Hi all i live in Hucknall and was wondering if any one knows of any rides near to where i live, preferably in woods or cross country

    Sherwood pines,Thieves wood was ok when i rode it a few years back(not sure on the legality though)Peak District is also close.

    How about the Ranges ??? I live on St Marys Way so its fairly close for a quick blast.

    sherwood pines is good,its got about 40 miles of trails,dirt jumps,a small north shore,cafe,toilets and bike shop.you could ride from hucknell [cycle route 6].be about 12/14 miles.same diistance as coming from worksop.

    Someone suggested the route 6 trail thats a nice little ride through to Worksop comes in about 26 miles, Nice mixture of trails that takes you through the Pines.

    As its only 26 miles and fairly flat it would be easy to do an out and back in around 5 or 6 hours.

    Where abouts in hucknall do you live Scott ? I ride a GT Force 1 you cant miss me its bright blue . . . We could meet up for a local ride ?

    use to ride round bestwood country park few years ago it was ok except for the burnt out cars

    Im from Worksop,dont mind riding out to meet at the pines.or any were within 20 miles.

  • Hi , I,m looking for some riding buddies around nottinghamshire, for training rides around the pines or doing some long rides in the peaks, obviously when the weather is better. I know some really good trails around the pines as i only live 5 miles away.If anyone fancy,s meeting up in a couple of weeks let me know on here and we,ll sort a weekend out when we get rid of this crap snow :evil: cheers

    Sounds good but it might be more than a couple of weeks looking at the weather forecast.Send all a PM with a proposed meeting place, time and date when the weather is better.
