i've had my specialized avatar saddle for 3 years now and i use this one single saddle for XC, trail, road and commuting. there is a 09 gel version,

but of course saddle choice is a personal thing, you just have to keep trying...
P.S. are you still considering the pair of oakley lens i have for sale?0 -

Fizik Gobi,great saddle2006 Giant XTC
2010 Giant Defy Advanced
2016 Boardman Pro 29er
2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4

sdg bel air.
can pick up a cro-mo railed version for under £20 then if you like it you can upgrade to a Ti version if you like.0 -
Charge Spoon, I love mine. Not heavily padded, but well shaped and has just enough give and flex in it to be very, very comfy.Uncompromising extremist0

i'll second the fizik gobi bit pricey but excellent piece of kit0

Another vote for the Charge Spoon here. Very comfortable, light, and only £20.Boardman Road Comp '08
Spesh FSR XC Expert '080 -
The Charge Spoon is good if you prefer a slighty wider Flite-type saddle with more flex. They are a bit primitive but as said above they are inexpensive and very comfortable.0

Charge Spoon, I've got them on both my bikes0

Another vote for the Charge Spoon - can't really fault mine.
What ever happened to the Flight Titanium??? :?0 -
I have a Gobi, it's really comfy but the long tail on it makes it a little harder to get right of the back of it if I'm on a steep downhill0

SDG Ti-Fly C.
Looks like a razor, feels like an armchair! And weighs 100g less than a Bel Air.0 -
I can vouch for the above too. A great saddle... have one on the Yeti..... very cpmfortable considering what it looks like!0

Find one that fits YOUR arse, it can be a very personal thing..
I was using the SDG Bel-Air RL, then I got some padded shorts and now run the Selle Italia ti SLR (135g!!!)*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)
*C. Late 1950's Fixed Gear
*1940 Raleigh Dawn Tourist with rod brakes0 -
Charge spoon can start to feel pretty hard on looooong rides but I guess it depends on how tough your ass is0
