Thought I would start this one off!

Have put my beloved Fender Prosonic guitar amp on Ebay to fund my next few fixie/SS projects and some nice kit for summer (hopefully Rapha!) and a new bag.

What have you sold?

It started with my golf clubs many years ago

Usually it's just bike parts to off-set the pain of buying a new part, normally from the misses, although I did manage to completely rebuild my hardtail three times over without her noticing (this includes three new frames  ) I finally owned up when I went full suss as I figured she might finally notice the difference

Recently it's been my Fender Champion 600 amp, POD effects unit, and a shed clearout of bike parts to finance the new Madone. The only things left worth selling are now the wife and kids, and e-bay won't let me list them

Try listing them as a job lot

Nothing, but holidays and bikes come before a decent car that I wouldn't drive any more often than the one I have. Oh, and I also make do without a train season ticket. 8)

Haven't sold anything yet but that guitar and amp are in the corner rapidly gathering dust. I never use them but would hate to see em go... depends if I find anything I want so bad I'm willing to let them go.

Took up cycling as a way to shift some weight for climbing.
Ended up selling some of my climbing gear to pay for my bikes.

Never sold anything really important to fund bike bits but recently set myself a goal to buy a new bike. Raised £450 selling old stuff in the loft on eBay 8)
  • I sold my 350Z to fund the purchase of a nice weekend bike!

The car never got a look in once the bike addiction took hold... :D

I've been thinking about this recently. Back in 1998 when I was just an awkward teenager, I bought a brand new California Series Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red. I ate almost nothing for a month so I could save up for it; and now it sits under my bed. I take it out its case every once in a while and just kind of go "Hmmmm...." before going back to my beaten to hell Telecaster.

And now I'm harbouring thoughts of a Lapierre FdJ, Cannondale Liquigas or Willier Lampre team bike.

I've never used ebay before, and I don't know how much I'd actually get if my guitar went for say, £300. What are the fees like?

Hiya - don't want to start a guitar thread here, but, Maybe cost you a tenner to put it on ebay. Whats the serial number just the first few chrarcters - can tell allot about a guitar from that. I won't sell my SRV strat or my 1962 Strat - 62 strat is worth about £20k!! My SRV has been with me through my gigging years and is absolutely knackered, but I love it to bits - I would save it from a burning house!

Hey there, the serial starts with AMXN. They were only made in 1997/98. I know I could get £300 easily for it, even with a repair job where the paint was bashed in. But how much would I regret it? Or would I be better off without it?? Tough one, that.

The SRV is very nice though. I wouldn't blame you for holding on to that!
