Sticky Back Plastic

Got some reflective sticky backed plastic to put on my bike and no doubt my dad will blag some for his scooter. I'm looking for suggestions as to wether I use regular shaped pieces, or a series or random shapes that will be more eyecatching. Tempted to put some on the rims between the spokes and other pieces on the seatstays and on the front and rear faces of the cranks. Any other suggestions for locations?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I'm not sure it's the shape you should be going for but the movement.
When I'm driving it's the refective ankle straps that really stand out in the gloom.

Wheels are a good idea and perhaps on the crank arms or pedals.

Going OT, just had a look at your sig link, no only is the destruction of the village terribly sad, but kerist that new runway will (sadly now the correct word to use) be close the the motorway.

Just browsing online thinking what a brilliant idea that is, I came across tape/sticky-backed-plastic which is BLACK yet reflects a bright WHITE when hit by headlights or torches etc!

I WANT! Seems to be most easily available in the US though, boo. Either 3M Scotchlite or Mighty Bright "Eclipse" tape - though that seems to only be available in meagre skinny strips for use on fishing rods...

    Freaky.

As the man says, "There you go, who'd have thought it. Black tape that glows white"

Haha, yes I watched that. Bless him! There you go.

Actually I seem to have found some, A4 sheets about a tenner, Respro Black Diamond Hi Viz. Seems to be made of the same stuff - Scotchlite 680.

    Ah, beaten by JonGinge!

There is a roll on Ebay that ends on 26/01/09 that I'm watching. If I win it looks like Dad will end up with the stuff I just bought.

I bought the white stuff off ebay - its good quality and a sheet lasts a long time. You can cut small pieces off and bung it all over the place !

As you can see - it certainly stands out. In the kitchen. In the dark. With a flash....

crazyplums is the seller to look for on ebay, they are the people that Sarajoy mentions who sell the stuff for fishing rods. Just bought 8 strips of 5x160mm, thin enough for rims but enough to get seen.
