Places to stay in Nice in March?

Hi - I'm heading out to Nice for 3 days cycling at the end of february, does anybody have any recomendations for places to stay. Hostel or cheap hotel or even appartments are the sort of thing I'm after, and Bike friendly of course. There's just two of us with bags and bikes. All recomendations very gratefully recieived.

Just checked that link out and they don't have availability on the dates I need, I just a bit concerned about where we can put our bikes.

Yep - it's pretty popular place. And most hotels I've looked at are pricey on that website.

I'm not sure about staying just a couple of nights, but this place looks good...

Hi Cycladelic, bit expensive for me unfortunately and hostels are full on the dates I want. there's lots of stuff out there, I'm really looking for a personal recomendation from someone whose taken a bike to Nice and stayed in Nice.

I remember a cheap and popular hotel ( the Oranges) on Ave Durante just south of the main station, and a little way north of that hotel just south of the tunnel, is ahotel.hostel/dorm that is very popular. I'll dig out my French guides and look it up.

Plenty of just walk in hotels around NICE station but the area is a bit seedy at night but safe...Hostelworld.com as a good selection and is my favourite for online booking

If you havn't used these already "Rough Guide" books are good for hotel recommendations. In the U.S. we also have a series called "Let's Go". Similar to the Rough Guide and provides brief descriptions of hotels and prices/contact info. by travelers who have actually stayed there.
