Oily stuff on the frame

I had some work done on my bike whilst I was away over the xmas break at a little bike shop in Sussex (cant remember the name) and they gave the bike a quick clean down and sprayed it with some very light oily stuff or teflon based stuff as water beads off it.
I didn't notice that they had put this oily stuff over the frame until I got back home as you can't feel it when you handle the frame, its lasted for a few weeks now and makes the bike so easy to clean, any idea what it maybe?

Just to say - I guess this is common sense, but... - when using any Teflon product be VERY careful to keep it away from brakes and rims!!0
