chain tensioner

was thinking of buying dmr simple tensioner for singlespeed, anyone one any experince with them, going to be using it mainly for commute, is it ok for this? or would i be better trying this half link that everyone keeps talking about, how does this work and is it compatibale with most chains?

    if you can a half-link is better. they come in a few widths to suit most chains.

    any idea of a 1/2 link that is the same as a 9sp in width and will fit the standard teeth of my cranks?
    (i'm still really confused by the 1/2 link thing :( )
  • me too mate, very confused. think charliethebikemonger.com does them kmc 3/32 half link is what you need i think
