LightLane is a concept gadget that paints a bike lane around your bicycle with laser-light as you pedal through the night:

I think I agree. The bike lane thing doesnt look as if it would be visible until you are up close.
  • Isn't he also on the wrong side of the road?

He's projecting a red light forwards.
  • Big hit all round, then?

gtv - I thought we'd knocked the use of 'gay' on the head on this forum? Try 'impractical/useless/rubbish/gimmicky' or similar.

I bow to your political correctness, but it still looks in similarity to an alternative lifestyle and vibrant culture - you know, gay ;-)
  • my 'gimmicky' friend thinks it looks rubbish too.

    Who's wedding?!
  • Hmmm not the best use of lasers I think.
Now a Blu-ray laser helmet mounted should be enough to burn the eyes out of any misbehaving driver.

Isn't he also on the wrong side of the road?

He's a septic tank (yank) so they all ride on the wrong side of the road.

I've seen posts on american triathlete sites asking if they should ride facing traffic. So ride on the left hand side of the road. As you would if you were running.....

    Scary some people.

Seeing as they're American, the obvious answer is that you should always cycle against the traffic - and it is safer in the centre of the carriageway than at the edge
