I am hoping to ride from Roscoff to Calais this summer, taking a scenic coastal route rather than a direct route. Can anyone give me any advice on the route (I'm not even sure on the distance or how long to allow myself)? Thanks, in anticipation.

I've ridden parts of this route and those have been lovely.
    Mostly a roller coaster ride.
If I was doing the whole distance, I'd allow 2 weeks minimum; 3 weeks if I wanted to spend time visiting places and lingering over lunches.

I always start with a map and get village names.
Then use www.viamichelin.com site which allows you to do routes for bikes. Click on options and this allows you to enter cycle but has a limit of 200km.
You get a route or multiple of 200km routes which I have used successfully for Brittany touring.

    Bon voyage

In my club we use Openrunner quite a lot. It has the advantage that it calculates on minor roads and works out the profile for you. But the roadbook that it gives out is usually useless on its own, you have to follow it on a real map.
