    Another weekend of great results for the GB squad – they are doing just what’s needed to qualify for the World Champs.

    A shame that the BBC took the Beijing World Cup off the schedule – it was listed on the cycling page for ages and then it was removed during this past week. This is probably down to the reduced squad size and the assumption that we won’t be interested as a result. Not true – the men’s sprint competition looked to be a cracker and there were very interesting performances by the NZ riders in the men’s and women’s IP.

    The Copenhagen round has also been canned form the listing – maybe the fact that a much larger GB squad will be attending prior to the Worlds will bring about a change of heart. I won’t hold my breath...
    I’m a sprinter – I warmed up yesterday.
