Sram and Shimano?

I've tried in FAQs and Tech Docs without success, so perhaps this is so obvious as to be in the "goes without saying" category, but before I go to the bother of building some new wheels (for 700c, but on mtb hubs)....

will Sram 7.0 hubs take a 9 speed Shimano Ultegra or 105 cassette?

If so, I assume that an XT drive train will be OK?

Thanks and sorry if I should know!

sram and shimano use the same pattern. if the sram hub is a 8/9spd compatible one and the shimano cassettes are the same then no probs.

Thanks - memory (it's not what it was!) confirmed.
