My mate has a Trek VRX300 full suss and he has gone through 3 Cane creek AD5 rear shocks as they do not hold the air. We guess it is because he is not of the usual mtb whippit build (apprx 100kg). Does anyone know if this is a problem for the AD5 and if so do you have any recommendations for a more 'heavyweight' shock?

Do you know who has been repairing the shock each time ? Or is it a new unit ?

also how fast does it lose the air?

also what year is the bike?

who did the yearly services on the shock?

    ...."yearly service?", he says!

Guess that's the problem then. The previous owner used to change the seals himself so time to find a specialist for this one. Anyone know of a good LBS that can do this in Southampton or Chichester area??

I'd try TF Ttuned (http://www.tftuned.com/) give them a ring and see if they can help you. Always used TF, never had any problems.
