Stupid IT question

Bear with me, this question has a tenuous link to cycling.

I've signed up for the Fred Whitton Challenge this year and want to set up a blog/something on facebook, to document my training and give friends and familly somewhere to sponsor me through Paypal or a similar service.

Given the collective wisdom of you all on here could anyone suggest the best way to go about achieving this? Whilst I have some computer literacy blogs, facebook, and anything generally used by my kids is usually beyond my comprehension, so please keep it simple

Thanks in advance

I personally do not like facefart...... sorry facebook.

try blogger.com (a google blogging tool), or simply search for blog in your search engine of choice.

They are very easy to set up and use, and if you have any difficulties, get your kids involved and get them to help you.

Go to wordpress.com and sign up for a free blog. You can get an easily installed plugin for Wordpress to allow PayPal donations, but you will need a PayPal account first I guess.

I recommend Blogger, nice & easy to use. And JustGiving works well too - Though does JustGiving let you have a page where you can post updates? Would be good to have 2-in-1!

Otherwise in Blogger it's pretty easy to add bits to a column, for example a box with a big SPONSOR ME HERE! link to JustGiving in it :)

Justgiving expires your page a few weeks after the event, so you'd lose any updates you included unless you copied them elsewhere. I'd go for Wordpress or Blogger linked to a Justgiving page.

Alternatively, just tell me your bank account details, passwords and PINs and I'll set it all up for you
