Compression tights and cycling?
Hi, I'm considering getting a pair of compression tights (probably 2xu) to use when cycling and running. I currently wear a pair of bib shorts with normal running tights over the top to keep me warm.
I was wondering if compression tights are too tight to comfortably wear over the top of bib shorts?
Also, I'd ideally like a pair to wear during the ride and another pair to wear for recovery after, but at around £50-60 a pop I can't afford to do that. So does anyone have an alternative? I've seen recovery socks on Wiggle, but I don't know how useful they'd be.
If I was only to get one pair of tights would it be more beneficial to use them during the ride or after the ride for recovery?
Thanks for your help!

Have you tried your local Aldi?
They had compression shorts and tops for £14 a set last Thursday.
No idea how they compare to the one's on Wiggle but they are *very cheap*.

Reviews of friends who have used them and run silly miles say that they make no difference. I'm not bothering. Plus they look bloody stupid too ! :-)0

i was under the impresion, from reading cw the other week, that compression tights are used as a recovery aid rather than something worn while cycling.0

Triathletes wear the socks on the run in Ironman Events. They have no shame.
Personally - I like that post run 'oooh' feeling. I dont think its harmful in itself - and £50 is a lot of money for something that hasnt been proved.0 -
I wore both a Skins long sleeve top and leggings on a 600km Audax. Mainly as a very thin base layer. No idea whether they helped or not but I didn't suffer as much with tired back muscles as I usually do on long rides. I was always wearing something over the top of them so it didn't matter what they look like.--
If I had a baby elephant signature, I\'d use that.0
