Hi,
Looking for a full suspension bike, got it down to either Trek EX8 or Specialized Stumpy Elite. Will mainly be doing XC riding, trails. Either around south downs or Wales... or somewhere in between.
Been riding hardtails for 15 years so this will be my first full suspension.
I weight in at 105kg, so looking for something that won't break when I crash.. I will crash..
Any advice/opinions/experience on the bikes appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris

hello,
i have a 08 fuel ex8. cant fault it. light enough for going up and quick and strong for coming down. handling is ok. but i fitted a shorter stem to quicken it up bit. abp is brilliant. make bike feel very sure footed under braking. rp2 shock can more than cope. couple of things i did find. tyres that come standard are rubbish. mine were off and gone within two weeks. and make sure you try a couple of different frame sizes. i found them feel long in the top tube and can be a bit of a stretch. but with the 18.5 in the line up aswell im sure youll find one that fits. overall totally happy with mine and enjoyed every minute of it. dont help much with the elite i know. but hope it helps with the trek...... happy shopping.0
