Fitting new tyres on a Bad Boy

I ordered a Bad Boy Ultra from Evans cycles and it came with Schwalbe 25c tyres but on the specifications they should be 28c. I wanted the wider tyres because I want to use it for commuting and also a bit of off road. The guy in the bike shop tried to fit 28c tyres but the front forks don't have enough clearance due to a small valve cap which is part of the suspension.
Has anyone had the same issues with Cannondale's ?
I really want the bike but not with pure road tyres.
Thanks for any help.

Theres a small chance you wont notice the difference tbh. Why not give them a try and if you still dont like it perhaps upgrade the forks along with the tyres? I commuted with 23s and loved it, but I used me legs as suspension, lol, if you get me0

25 to 28 is not much at all, you'll still need to be fairly light off road, i find 20c is fine for light "i wounder whats down here on the road bike.0

Thanks for replies.
Apparently Cannondale had stock problems and supplied the thinner tyres (25c) instead of the ones on the specs and website.
Any Bad Boy Ultra owners out there who have changed the tyres ?
Really don't want a different bike just bigger tyres something with a bit of tread would really help.

Just out of interest, how do you change tyres/tubes on bikes with hub gears? Is it a bit of a faff?0

I went for the external gears not the hubs.
I have heard they make it very difficult0
