What spares/tools do you carry on your commute?

    1x inner tube
    1x puncture repair kit with tyre levers
    1x 13mm spanner
    1x mini pump
    1x chunky chain
    1x chunky lock
    1x Sunglasses for morning/evening Sun
    1x of Bible, Koran and Torah for any last-rite action I may need.

    (Do people not say 'Puncture' round here? A Macbeth sort of thing?)

    Not sure if already mentioned, but:

    Superglue - to fill the hole etc in the tyre to stop other guff getting at the tube while you get home.

    i'd take it for longer rides and maybe worth it for commuting, but some gaffer tape: a bolt retaining the mudgaurd stay to the mudguard (at mudguard end came off, so left with a dangerous loose stay and a mudguard which was rubbing on tyre and i couldn't relieve it by altering other retaining bolts. as i was only setting off i retrned home, but the little bolt is specialized for its role and had nothing to substitute. gaffer tape did the job.
