Just found out you can get legs that clip onto the bottom of a gas canister! They are a sort of unfolding flat tripod that can clip-on to all the sizes of gas cannister - Extremely useful with my Pocket Rocket! And they say 23gs 8)

£6 from Tiso's - but I've been trying for the last while to find a link to them! Even on the Tiso web site. Hmm.

There's also a Markill/Vaude version, and a version that comes with the Jetboil pot support (I've not seen this available separately), and doubtless others do exist.

One thing to note is that not all gas canisters are the same size - there are at least 3 different sizes of 220/230g canister and at least 2 sizes of 100/110g canister. Any one set of feet will only fit a couple of sizes properly.

The Jetboil one is a bit expensive! Although you do get a 'converter' for other pans (eg an entire top half of the stove!) with it.

Oh, and for the canister sizes, Primus one I got has a sort of swivel joint in the middle so it adjusts to the canister size - I spent a fun 5 mins trying it out on my various canisters... 8)

Im using an s-2 clickstand with the small windshield combined with a meths burning stove like you get in trangia sets. Fuel is dirt cheap and available all over the place , lasts a long time and can store easily a litre in a trangia fuel bottle.Heres a link to the site you can get the clickstand plus windshield from :

all packs away into my pot for cooking in, except the fuel bottle of course!

Boils water fast, can cook with it superbly.
